Dance Hall

by StandStill   Nov 6, 2008

Little golden smiles,
sunrise in your eyes.
Perfect happy moments,
sweet secret little surprise.

Rosy hearts pinned on your sleeve
as we're twirling 'round and 'round.
Faces from your picture past melt,
just things from your background.

Can't you hear the music?
Dearest, close your eyes.
Breathe in deep, I'm humming,
humming my favourite lullaby.

I know you can't quite see it,
can't quite see the smile on my face.
But can you see the dance hall?
Crystal, ribbons, lace.

I know you said that it had fell,
but a happy moment calls for this kind of thing.
Picture perfect dance hall
to encompass everything.

Somewhere outside the big walls
there's a forrest and a lake.
Someday, it's gonna be perfect,
unhindered by our mistakes.

It's alright to want to scream,
it's alright to need a close embrace.
But close your eyes tight now, dear,
and we're in a safer place.

Tomorrow's just a sunrise,
like the smile in your eyes.
Resurrect the dance hall...
sweet simple November surprise.

Gabbiella, you're not even going to believe the imagery I got in my own head. The picture...were so vivid.

I always tell you this, but your word choice is phenomenal.

They way you work things together is phenomenal.

    Just like you :) Muahs
