October 19th

Full moon above
was telling him to hold her
so pulled her in close
and laid his head on her shoulder

She was excited and willing
He was willing but unsure
He was happy being friends
Scared of something more

He's a little bit too old
but she doesn't care
all she wants for him to do
is to get lost in her stare

The palm tree begs them to sit
and so they both sit down
they hold hands and enjoy their time
with none of their friends around

The wind chills their bones
but they have each other to warm their hearts
so they scoot in even closer
barely an inch apart

Her eyes grow wide
he makes her feel great
she'd just wish he'd ask her out already
she really hates to wait

He can't stop smiling
and he can't hold still
so he asks her to get up with him
and go back up the hill

Holding hands they go back up
to rejoin with the rest of the gang
but even still its just them talking
about the next time they'll hang

Eventually he has to leave
and he tells her he has to go
so he turns to hug her
and leans in real slow

Before she knew it
he had kissed her goodbye
she couldn't believe it all that night
she felt like she could fly

Now she still wants him as bad
and he seemed like he had too
but now she's not so sure and she waits
thats the only thing I can do..
