Once upon a time
A girl lived in a fairy tale
And then everything fell apart
Everyone thought she still was ok
But nobody knew the truth
She had one secret not even her dearests knew
It destroyed her bit by bit
And gradually wore her down
But the pretty girl
Who never got to be the princess
Was determined not to tell
Her secret needed to be kept safe
She promised herself she would never tell
Everyone started to suspect
She was hiding something from them all
The girl struggled not to tell
This secret was destroying her
She had no way to get free
Everyone tried to help
But she wouldn't tell a soul
She tossed and turned everynight
And picked at her food with worry
The pretty girl just wanted her fairy tale ending
To come true
But her secret wouldn't let that happen
And she wasn't about to let it free
So she struggled even to her death
With the secret that was eating her away
And even when she was on her death bed
She never told a soul
Her young life
Ended quite to soon
It's a pity how this happened
But her secret is far worse
