Southern Men (Terza Rima)

by Sylvia   Nov 6, 2008

Silver-tongued devils in disguise, it's funny,
as they say "howdy ma'am and then smile at you.
Words roll off their tongues, smooth and sweet as honey.

Polite and courteous, if you only knew.
Holding doors, and seating you at the table,
always ensuring that you have the best view.

Treats you like a lady, they are quite able.
A gentle touch of their hand on your elbow,
they guide you through a crowd; is this a fable?

Beware of these heart breakers, you never know,
they may break your heart, my friend, or be your beau.
