Promise land

by Hillary Starz   Jun 8, 2004

In the darkness there are my fears,
And in the light I shed my tears,
I want to hide then run away,
I dread the thought of another day,
I live in the depths of my own hell,
And day to day they wish me well,
But I have no soul,
No sorrow I feel,
I touch around yet nothings real,
The pain feeds off from me,
As if a leech or parasite,
I wish to lye away from noise,
And be alone for just awhile,
A minute,
An hour,
And that pain shall devour,
And as my life began,
I will wake alone,
In my promise land.
