I really like this piece, and I wish it was longer. Anyway, you managed to describe everything perfectly. I agree with the message that this piece carries.
The imagery is fantastic in every paragraph, so vivid, I could clearly imagine each sentence.
Overall, I think that this is greatly written, especially for the first attempt of prose form.
