Dead-Beat Dad.

Why weren't you ever there
All those times that I cried?
Why weren't you ever
There in my life?
Why wouldn't you ever
Pick up the phone
And pretended not to be home?

I remember what you promised me-
You promised you would never
Be a dead-beat dad
Because you remember
The life that you had.

I now see that everything
You said to me was a lie.
With Tim being there everything
Had been been so easy getting by.

I've been doing just great
Without you in my life.
Never ever take credit for
What Tim has done.

Don't feel sorry for me-
Feel sorry for your
Other daughter and son.

I'm done with all your lies and excuses.

T.J. and Kim will soon understand
The type of person you are.
And won't want a liar in their life.

This is all on you.
No one else.
You made the wrong decision.

Now live with what you have done
To your two daughters and son.

I don't have any feelings for you
You mean nothing to me.
When are you gonna see that
And get it through your head??

---This poem is a true story. I haven't seen my biological father in 8 years and Tim is my step-dad who I think of as a Dad.

Very sad and probaly not as relatable as ud think but for me it is...i think its an origional and very touching and i did however find a few spelling mistakes but thats very easily corrected within the editing mode. since its clear on the main idea and sticks with it i give it a 5/5 : )
