Seeking Inspiration

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 7, 2008

Once
They called me poet
Though I doubt it so

Every word
I ever scribed
Just never seemed to glow

Thought I'd be
A songbird once
But all they'd ever say

Your tune
Is in the ink you use
To free us from our day

I dipped my brush
Into the paint
To stroke away the sadness

The canvas
Would not bend for me
I'm drifting into madness

Why won't you write?
They stop to ask
I've only one reply

Passion left me
Flew away
With nary a reply

Ink lay frozen
In my pen
Thought within my mind

Inspiration
Came and went
Leaving me behind

A prayer to wake
Upon the morrow
Filled with liquid gold

Pouring out
Onto the page
More words than one can hold

I think that this poem has already explain how I feel cause I was going to write the same things in mine. I love reading others work cause the things I might want to write about are already said.

This poem was well wirtten and easy read and understood. Love the begining to end.

    Love courtney aka p!nk R0manc3
