To Strew Words In A Garden Bed

by Melissa   Nov 7, 2008

I'd like to gather my poems
and scatter them
like dewdrops
across acres of land
where they may fasten themselves
to the cool, gray soil
or get tangled
in natures bend

For those
who grab ahold
with thick roots
and impregnable purpose

I'd like to paint them
a golden sun
so they may sprout
into something more fragrant
than just a posy of words

    Amazing, honestly.

The only thing it needs is punctuation :)

Lovely, lovely poem, says such a lot so descriptively and succinctly. I was almost floating away whilst reading it.
