350

by Dacey Flame   Nov 8, 2008

350 degrees to tick

And "Dinner" sleeps softly in his pan

Like a pompous roast duck

Laden with afterbirth and pineapple slices

Young Mother Goose will keep this secret

She and her beau dressed for formal dinner

Sliced jello squares and warm green beans

Candles and the very fancy table cloth

BING and potholders to pull "Dinner" out

I would like a leg, dear. Says her beau

She herself enjoys a fat little arm

Grinding bones to make sweet breads

Served with apple butter by the fire

And no one will ever know
