it feels like black and blue
it hurts every time it beats
because it beats for you
i see the pictures...the memories
the good times that we shared
the times we laughed...so hard
the times you actually cared
i remember the sound of your voice
and ever picture perfect smile
i remember singing in the car
every once in a while
i remember laying in her bed
wondering if we were forever
just like the promise we made
promising we would leave...never
how could i forget that day you found me at the lake
you came to save me
i knew then it was not fake
still i questioned if it was real
the bonds that we had
when we all smiled together
because we were truly glad
and then that day
we fell apart...grew apart
landed hard...too hard
enough to shatter a heart
i try every single day
just to let you go
but i cant seem to do it
because you will never know
you will never know i loved you
or that i wished that you would stay
but its to late...your gone now
and i miss you every single day
i didn't write because I'm angry
i didn't write because I'm sad
i dint because i hate you
i dont write because I'm mad
I'm writing because i miss you guys
and everything we had
I'm writing because i miss it all
the good times and the bad
but as i watch it fade away
every laugh and every tear
i wonder what really happened
our friendship was so dear
and as i waste time wondering
ill lay here on the ground
sitting...listening to silence
wishing you were around
i know your gone for real this time
i know its over and done
at least i keep what we had
the good times...the fun
i guess this is my goodbye
to heal my breaking heart
to end the book we have written
and head back...to the start
