Trust me. Mirrors don't lie-But I do.

Even your mirror ain't gettin' clearer
What ever happend to you?
You've never felt so far away
The distance increases day by day
Month by month, year after year
All that's grow'n in us now's fear.

From the clearly set path, you'd gone astray
Now nothing can turn you back down that way
But maybe it doesn't matter
Hearts were made to break and shatter
[So] Sorry to say
We're all born to die my dear
Mirrors don't lie..
But things aren't always as they appear.

You break away for some time alone
And they mistake you for being lonely
You say you lied to protect another
And they've got you down as a phony
You say you've got nothing to wear
And they say you've gone out of style
You seemingly have it all-
And they say you've never walked a mile [on eggshells].

What ever happend to you?
What ever happend to them?
Innocence wore out like you dad's best jeans
A size smaller, faded blue,
And just yesterday it seems
Their colors were so true.

"Do you know who you are?"
"I am I, you are you."
"Aren't you searching for more information?"
"..What's it matter, so long as I got a destination?
I do what I need to
And it's getting me by
So long as you are you,
[I] Don't bother questioning why."

Ne'er really was a path
Just a trail of break crumbs, leading into the woods
I'll let you do the math.

Now has your mirror gotten clearer?
From the morning dew, and words once true?
But, maybe it doesn't really matter,
For our hearts were made to break and shatter
[Re-arrange the pieces]
Things aren't always as they appear
We're all born to die my dear.
