Golden Hue

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Nov 9, 2008

Golden wings faded down to ash and dust
Years of deception adding up
Heart pounding in time
To the innocence in your mind
And singing softly in the air
Is a melody that only one can hear
It calls to you on the wind
Prompting you to divulge all your sin
Anguish tortures your body and soul
Bridges that have been burned
Are now broken and old
Chared are the remains of your faith
Once in heaven now fallen from grace
Golden wings faded down to ash and dust
Years of deception adding up

Such a damning piece. You really feel the emotion in the last line. It really connects with our more cynical self.
