Blue Eyes

by DarkCrystalbtrfy   Nov 9, 2008

Blue eyes look at me
Across a table of uncertainty
Converstaion flows
Time slows
Shadows wane
As the day grows dark
Warm lamplight
Cool streetlight
Smiling hesitantly
Unsure of where to start
The key to unlock a heart
Confusion passes over eyes
A scale that is equil in weight
Waiting to be tipped
Any which way

Interesting. I like the metaphor of a uneven scale and the eventual revelation as the scale finds direction. It has a nice use of imagery and the sense of tension is done without being all there is.
