    Great poem Cindy!

At times I feel you near me
The smell of your cologne hangs in the air
If the wind blows through the trees just right
I can almost hear your voice calling my name
    How I miss that sound.

Truly, we miss our loveones. Their memories keep us strong.

"Hearts may stopped but Forever Love goes on."

    Your friend,
    Ray

    Cindy,

each and every word has so much emotion behind it, making the whole piece so sad.

As a poem its structure is such that the lines that you want to have maximum impact, do just that, they reach out and grabs your empathy and pulls it so hard.

I believe that all good poems should grab the reader, evoke their responses and make them think. This poem makes you think hard and makes you appreciate the good that we have in our lives and to never take it for granted, because life is precious and sadly too fragile.

Well done on an excellent piece.

    ((hugs))

Very nice Cindy, I really enjoyed this piece. It automatically drew me to my aunt because it sounds so much like what she has been going through since my uncles passing last year. Thank you for sharing it, great job.

    Cindy ~hugs~

You have moved me to tears dear friend.

At times I feel you near me
The smell of your cologne hangs in the air
If the wind blows through the trees just right
I can almost hear your voice calling my name
    How I miss that sound
    ^^^
No one can even begin to imagine the pain behind these words until they have lost a loved one. The smell that still lingers and the voice that still whispers. The feeling that pounds deep in the heart and yearns so terribly for the touch, the whisper of voice, the kiss and hug, the smile they loved so dearly.

My heart is with you through these times hun.
Believe !!! you will be together again.

Without God ... there is no heaven ... and I wholeheartedly BELIEVE there is a heaven and your John is there and you will be one again hun.

    ~Big hugs~ BELIEVE hun.

And when the days are long and the nights are even longer and you feel alone .... close your eyes and you will feel his arms wrapped tightly around you.
    Love ya

    Aw Cindy !
    I really love this one
actually the fact that it didn't rhyme made it even more beautiful
I loved the ending so much, despite the sadness in it.

If the wind blows through the trees just right
I can almost hear your voice calling my name

Those lines took my breath away, my fave part..nicely written

Very well done on this hun

They way you convey your sadness is truly beautiful. Your poem fills me with sadness, although it's nothing compared to what you actually feel. It is a beautiful tribute to the one you Love.

    "Sometimes I think it's all a dream
I'll wake up you'll be there
Smiling at me with that grin
the one I fell in love with"

My heart constricted when i read this stanza.
And it goes out to you at the same time!

I've missed your poetry so much Cindy. You have a way with words few can match
