Silence in the Static

by StandStill   Nov 9, 2008

It's just the average Sunday,
cold and the radio's humming.
Static's all I really hear,
it's all I ever really hear days like this.

I hope it's ok that I don't believe
in fairytales today.
I don't believe in weathermen either,
they always tell me it'll be sunny when it isn't.

I think the snow clouds just rumbled thunder
or maybe that was just an angry heartbeat,
I can hear it in my throat.
Not that you would know.

I like the silence anyway.
