Always Dancing

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Nov 9, 2008

She said something that I couldn't hear
Because my vision was slightly blurred
And the lost soundtrack of misspelled hearts
Was playing too low to be heard

The floor made creaking noises
As the two ghosts danced in brilliant steps
To the music, to the music
Thinking which one's best

The off white dress around her body
The gold necklace around her neck
The music makes her spirit move
But her lifeline fades to black

The disjunctive motions that the two ghost make
Like broken glass on a floor
Cuts through the stillness, through the smiles
But nobody here smiles anymore

In this old broken house that makes noises in the wind
These two ghosts will dance till morning's light
Then the moon will reborn from the horizon
And they will repeat this the next night

Walking by the candle lit house
You get shivers down your spine
Cause you know the ghost keep dancing
Always dancing, all the time

Even as you read this poem
They're stepping there in sync
With movements only dead could provide
With thoughts only dead could think
