Truth or Fiction (Rondeau)

by Once an Angel   Nov 10, 2008

Sorry to those who don't like rhyming poems, this form has a lot of rhyming, but it was actually kind of fun. So let me know what you think.

Truth or fiction, it's hard to say,
What lies behind these games we play.
Honesty is a fallacy,
With no regard to constancy.
Fiction dresses in truth's array.
Truth falls through popular decay.
Masses elect a shallow way,
To govern general policy.
Truth or fiction.
Pray this awakens some dismay,
and guides you further that you may,
determine with true accuracy,
How to define your legacy.
Each history we leave conveys,
Truth or fiction.

Note: I stole the title for this poem from a good friend of mine. You could go check out her poetry. Her username is Torn: http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/author.html?id=102736

I like this form and you have done a good job writing a poem about truth or fiction. It does depend on the individual on how they see doesn't it..good job!
