Divine Intervention

by Neme juste un jouet   Nov 10, 2008

I'm waiting on divine intervention
and wondering when you will show up-
I have an confession,
for I have lied-
who am I kidding?
I've told a lie so absurd that people could only
believe it
for they feared thinking the worse of me-
I don't have a confession, not one
but many.
I confess I am guilty,
but you ask me of what-
And I smile and plant a kiss
just right there
upon your lips-
I'm waiting on divine intervention
and wondering when you will show up-
I think I scared off the pretty one
I swear I think I did,
can you look at me?
You know everything I have ever done,
does that mean you might
might not
love me?
I picked a flower once and promised it a dream
a dream that it might live forever-
but you see all it could do was weep.
I took away its life
but held it to the sun,
all her little petals wilted,
now there is none but one
black like the shadw, doomed side of
fun- I mean...
You understand right, pretty one?
I'm waiting on divine intervention, you see
I sing
a Song-
Do you want me to show you
when to breathe
and when to scream?
