Chicago

by katie   Nov 10, 2008

I'm losing you already,
as I lay here in my teddy,
with your arms wrapped around me.

You're distant and vague.
You say the reason is jet lag.

But is it?
Are you tellling me the truth?
It's her, isn't it?

I know she lives in Chicago.
Is that why you had to go?

You left me for a week,
what else could I think.

I know it wasn't for work,
I can't believe you're such a jerk.

How can you just lay here with me,
and think that I can't see,
what's been going on for so long.

Although how could I be so blind,
that I couldn't read your mind.

I was naive,
thinking that there was only me.
