Semi-Circle-Ring-Around

by RussianRendezvous   Nov 11, 2008

Shed your skin so desperately,
Don't relocate inside,
Show your face so I can see,
Where the color lies.

But turn your will away from sight,
I still know it's there,
So just pretend that I sleep at night,
And simply take your share.

Now I look back but hardly know if I'm looking back or looking down.
I never heard your violin but your voice sang me to sleep.
Now I look but hardly know if I'm looking back or looking down.
I never knew my own promises long enough to keep them.

I should have seen this coming,
But I would be too right.
I should have seen this coming.
But the tuning was so tight.

I never heard your violin but your voice sang me to sleep.
