Death Upon Sweet Oblivion

by enigmatic_prey   Nov 11, 2008

Lush, blood-like petals and thorns betrothed
With dazzling beauty that stuns within
Tragically beautiful, one might say
Paying tribute to thy melancholic end

Flowers resembling but drops of blood
Spilled across the blades of grass
Cold, stricken resemblance of crimson regrets
Stenciled under the sweltering sun's canvas

Each of our memories slowly crumpled to ash
As each was replaced by a less fond memory
With one less precious thing in life
When ruthless death had taken away thee

Engrave forever upon the symphony of silence
Like a hopeless scar breaking through haze
Heart spindled in specks of severe loneliness
Without any attempt of escape from such maze

Unfazed, never-ending slumber, thou, now have
With no torrent woes and torment to pry
Serenely left without lingering plight
Secretly telling us, upon thy death, we mustn't cry

Undaunted, thou faced the brink of death alone
Never told anyone, thou were caged in such awful rut
Chose a facade instead, a smile etched upon thy face
And so, thy memories shall be kept forever...in everyone's heart

    Great lines, introduction is perfect~

Lush, blood-like petals and thorns betrothed
With dazzling beauty that stuns within
    Tragically beautiful, one might say
Paying tribute to your melancholic end.

    Powerful, message on your body~

Flowers resembling but drops of blood
Spilled across the blades of grass
Cold, stricken resemblance of crimson regrets
Stenciled under the sweltering sun's canvas.

    Excellent ending~

Undaunted, you faced the brink of death alone
Never told us you were trapped in such awful rut
And chose to forever etch a smile upon your face
Yet still, your memories will be kept in everyone's heart.

The title matched the poem. I would like you give this a 10 if possible here:) 5/5!
