Flowers resembling but drops of blood
Spilled across the blades of grass
Cold, stricken resemblance of crimson regrets
Stenciled under the sweltering sun's canvas.

Undaunted, you faced the brink of death alone
Never told us you were trapped in such awful rut
And chose to forever etch a smile upon your face
