Losing Hope

by Robert Daniel Long   Nov 11, 2008

One day
Someone will come
And they'll take me away
From the pains........of this solitude

To a place of peace
To a place
Where the only worry
Would be how to love you more
To a place where loneliness
Doesn't exist

Until then
I'll stare at each sunset
Waiting and wondering
When that day will be

The dream
Of holding someone
Is growing dimmer
As each day passes
And I hear the voice of loneliness

Beaconing
A sound that's so cold

It's eerie cry
I'm trying to shun
But it's drawing nearer
And I feel as if I'm fading away

Fading into each sunset
I watch pass
