Grade School Memorizes

by juliet   Nov 11, 2008

Kindergarten widen my eyes with excitement
Nap-times
Learning to tie shoes
Playing new games
Being the only girl among all boys

1st grade opened a creative world
Learning to read
Art flowed through me
Prizes and games every Friday
Understanding the ways of math

2nd grade helped over come a Grey game
The loss of my guardian
The gain of a new life
Experiencing show and tell
Hanging glittery pine cones with string

3rd began rusting away my old world
Learning cursive
Art still in my mind forever
The beginning of bad grades
People of stone walking among the museum of art

4th was the beginning of silence
Math boring me
Becoming more shy
Falling into a new world in books
The circus build excitement within me

5th grade made my day
Having fun
Visiting the Detroit Zoo
Walking in the Octagon Barn
Making little native homes

6th grade opened something new
Death of a dear aunt
Math clouded my head
All emotions locked inside
The life of a poet settled in
