You either die the hero,
Or live long enough to become the villain.
Id die the villain.
Cause ive got this fear of failure
That doesnt let me down,
I just dont try.
An unrelenting sadness hangs over;
Like a rain cloud in the atmosphere,
Blown away by the wind,
Ill see sunlight again
But not before I fail to see the reason.
What drives you?
They'll be carving out my heart tomorrow.
Intiation into this dark cult will kill me,
But I did this for you.
Yet does this still make me the villain?
To become what ive always feared,
Id have to lose you to find you,
I dont look forward to the mourning.
I must say I'm suprised by how good this is. The second stanza isn't as strong as the rest of the poem but it fit's quite well and it kind of lingers there, which I think gives the poem a good feeling.
And, it didn't seem girly at all. (: I think that might be a plus?
