Masks

by Dan   Nov 14, 2008

Have you ever truly wondered
What life truly means?
How we live our lives
So different during the stages of our lives

At school we have one persona
While at home we are another
With friends,
With family
We have so many masks

Is it because we are afraid
That showing our true faces
Will just cause us to be hurt?
That these masks
Help hide what we hate of ourselves

Are these masks we hide behind
Truly needed anymore?
Be proud of who you are
Not ashamed of your flaws
We are all human

We each have flaws
We each have our problems
Perfect in no aspect
Can we shun these masks
And simply allow others to see me?

    Another amazing write.
I used to hide who I truely was
    Until I met this person
Who helped me see that it's
ok to let people see me
It's ok to let people see the real me
If they like you for you
You can do anything.Let people see you
for you and you see others for them.
    I liked this awesome.
    Take care.

Nice work man...well I believe that at times we need our masks but it is refreshing to not have to put them on. Good job. Perhaps work on stronger words to describe how you feel and I know I need to do that lol but nevertheless great poem man.

    cheers, josh
