Another Page in your Book

by Romancing the Darker Side   Nov 16, 2008

It's like the words alone are enough to make me sweat.

There's not a soul in the world who could save me.
((From you))
I think I've lost myself already,
And it's only been three months.

Twisted, so akward.
I parade through the setting.
I glance over the prologue, staring at the list of chapters.

By the first sentence I'm hooked.
Your little story draws me in.
So I keep on reading.

((Left right, left right))
The characters are familiar,
Static, overplayed.
But there's an error in my favor.

I flip another page, what a twist in the plot!
Left to the imagination,
I dare not contemplate.

((Flip, read, flip, read))
The last page seems to taunt me,
Oh, how I wish to read ahead!
But alas, I cannot.
And so I suffer the torture.

It's like the story will never end,
My last page is always "tomorrow,"
And frankly, I can't wait any longer.

It's like those words alone are enough to make me sweat.
