Meet me under the moonlight

by Ingrid   Nov 16, 2008

Meet me under the moonlight

If when on some dark and lonely night
you should suddenly miss me
then come to meet me under the moonlight
and we will dance till dawn, my love
With arms wide open I will greet you
and have eyes for only you, my heart
Our feet will never touch the ground, my dear
while we dance in sheer delight
Just a whisper from your lips to send me running
and jump into your arms in utter bliss
Say you will save the last dance for me, oh darling
the dance only meant to share
with the one your soul craves for,
the woman who owns your heart

    Ingrid,

What a gorgeous image. I can clearly see the scene, it is clear and crisp. The moon is full and its light illuminates the world. The street is bare and quiet, not even a gust of wind to move the scene....then you enter the scene, a park perhaps, maybe even a lamppost? You are wearing a flared dress, white, which appears to glow in the moonlight. You wait and smile knowing that your love will soon join you, meet with you. He will stride towards you and sweep you into an embrace and then your night dancing will commence. Swirling around and around in each others arms, in each others eyes and wrapped in each others hearts.

Well done Ingrid on this beautiful write.

Good work. If the moon was out tonight, I might just have to outside with my better half and dance. You have made it so romantic with your words.

I really liked your poem. I'm really in to free hand because it never seems forced and it is what I do most often. The wording was truly great. It is about something in life that I'm sure most everyone looks for at one point or another. I gave it a 5/5 =)
