Reverse Reciprocate.

by sexyCheckers   Nov 17, 2008

I push people away, because thats what you taught me to do,
Living my life all alone, A sadistic replicant of you.

Yeah, You bought me up, all alone is what you say,
"Your father was never there" I never loved him anyway.

I never cared that I was never loved, Until it was too late,
And now the only way to get by, Is to reverse reciprocate.

They'd show me love, So Id hate them a little more,
And eventually they leave, Like all the other guys before.

Just dont want affection, Guess I feel I dont deserve,
To be loved, Is to sacrifice, With the possibility of getting hurt.

I dont want rejection, And to feel the pain you put me through,
So Ill pass my days by, Being as bitter and lonely like you.

I liked these two lines the best:
"I never cared that I was never loved, Until it was too late,
And now the only way to get by, Is to reverse reciprocate."
The whole had an undertone to it. It didn't neccessarily feel angry or sad to me. It felt a bit like you were just coming to a sudden realization that you had hoped you would never have to come to. I loved it, from start to finish. 5/5
