Hollow Locket Choker

by BrokenREALiTy   Nov 18, 2008

The sweetest laughs escape your lips,
voicing the departure of our overexposing
wings--the ones that I reached awkwardly for
comfort that only the strangest
tsunamis could offer.

an anatomical shamble
tracing crooked dreams on perfect roads,
wrapping lipstick prints all over sheets
that don't belong to the trembling,
broken crystals of warmth.

the saddest eyes begin to stare,
as fervent dewdrops run violent spheres
through velvet rings unscathed and
lyrical burns, photographed in beauty...

all that's left is nothing of myself,

but vibrant whispers stringing drivel
through which in my mind make sanity.
a gifted question whose answer--worthless,
forever strains against a lifeless pulse:

wandering, arguing,
and for all time--squandering...
"how can I give you all of me
when all I get is half of you?"

**Lyric Contest: "How can I give you all of me when all I get is half of you?"
It perfectly described how I feel right now with my current...involvement and our situation, so I wrote :)
***Edited: I accidentally switched P.O.V without realizing it in the middle of the piece...

I liked this poem. The wording was great. Hmm, I don't know what else to say about. I gave it a 5/5.
