Mountain of strength (Ottava Rima)

by Ingrid   Nov 18, 2008

Strong as a mountain, enduring all storms
Gentle the heart that lies hidden inside.
Bravely facing set backs in all its forms
His inner strength his compass and his guide.
In silent awe I see how he performs
his brave tasks in life with grace and much pride.
Outstanding poet and friend to us all.
When you are in need, just give him a call.

Dedicated to my friend Grant Gilbert.

Very nice poem. The format was good. It was sweet of you to write a poem about your friend like that. I gave it 5/5. I saw nothing that needed to be worked on.

An outstanding tribute to Grant. In the short time I have been on this site and reading his work and comments to others, you have captured him and his essence with your words. Excellent write and subject. Wish it was possible to give you more but a 5/5 will have to do.
