Sleeping beauty

by Max Krakers   Nov 18, 2008

Long sleeping beauty,
Utters not a sound.
All touching silence,
No noises abound.

Then silence is broken,
A low hum is heard.
High beeps revealing,
that lights have appeared.

Eyelids that tremble,
Her lips slowly part.
Slumber is broken,
Unfrozen her hearth.

A message received,
Yet silence all round.
Fruitless search follows,
Respect's all that's found.

Tired and lonely,
She's drowsy once more.
Anger has faded,
Resting like before.

Once again sleeping,
And all men can see.
Nothing should wake up,
This sleeping beauty.
