Don't look away

by goot   Jun 8, 2004

Hold on to what is so special.
If it means something to you.
Take time to cherish its presence,
Don't let go, whatever you do.

Time heals all that causes pain,
So don't give in.
Even if you can't hold on,
I see that you can win.

Under the surface, behind your cover,
I see something true.
Only you can unleash the power,
Because it lies in you.

But then there comes the moment,
You cannot face the day.
I understand the conflict,
But nothing can stop the grey.

This power has arisen,
It pushes you to the edge.
What ever you do, just hold on,
Don't go off the ledge.

Ok, I know, You can't hold back,
This power is too strong.
But just think, can you stop it?
It's been in there too long.

the fire, the fury, this raging beast,
It cannot wait for long.
It seems with every waking breath,
It just becomes too strong.

So now, I will tell you,
The hidden truth.
But to you it may just sound,
A little bit uncouth.

I tell you you're amongst,
The closest of my friends,
But I lie, each time I say it,
"I'm here, beginnings to ends."

I hate you, so secretly,
I've said it too much before.
Now i release it, the secret fire,
burning at the door.

You talk about yourself so much,
Your problems and your woes.
But now I must write it down,
So every body knows.

The truthful poem, so live and well,
Will be written soon,
And i swear it's truthful,
By sun and by the moon.
