A Pocket Full Of Hearts

by Mr. Darcy   Nov 20, 2008

Never forget..

Preciousness takes
All shapes and forms;
From physical,
Words lyrical,
From the strange
To the norm.

It's held within
A longing glance;
friendly words,
A risk
..or chance.

On the breeze
Through the trees;
Cherry smiles
Worth your while
Coffee fragrant
Blossomed steam.

..Not forgotten.

In the sincere
So very clear
That a gift;
Gives a lift
And makes
You believe.

So close, so near,
A feeling dear
Like a cover,
A mother,
Caressed like
No other.

Fabric on skin
Breathed like wind;
Whisperings of plenty
Your plate
Will never
..ever empty.

Forget this not..

Into a pocket
Gold words form a rocket
To soar like a bird
...Up high
Words fly
On a wing
Over a radiant
Sunrise..

..of forever satisfied
that preciousness resides..

..In a pocket full of hearts
Displayed always..
.. and forever with pride.

..Never to be forgotten.

    This poem was so lovingly beautiful and full of the love that you described wonderfully. The passion with which you write always stuns me to where I must read the poem again just to realize how admiring your writings are. Beautiful. 5/5

    Ummm, WOW this is a truly wonderful poem and it was sweet. The wording was perfect. The flow was nice and gently all the way through the poem. I really liked the format that you used, the length was just right. I gave this poem a 5/5 because this poem was amazing.

    Very well written. As I read some verses, I had a sense of soaring and read faster and faster, then a sense of peace and read slower. I can say I have never had a poem affect me quite like that ( a good way).
