Resurrection

by Evan   Nov 21, 2008

There's something in the air around us, it's so eerie,
i can't explain it, i'm tired, my body is so weary,
they can't hear me, i'm a lost voice gone traveling,
i'm torn from the inside-out, my mind's unraveling
if you could see through my eyes, and look deep down inside,
you might realize, that i have nothing to hide,
the truth is laid out on the table, my hearts on my sleeve,
it's no myth or fable, you're all that i need,
you're the air i breathe, the remote that controls me,
without you, i'm like a lost cop patrolling,
useless, until i make my way back on the road i remember,
but i can't recall, slipped off the slick roads of december,
looking for a trace of ember, but cant detect it,
i'm lost body and mind, searching like a detective,
nothing's effective, so missing i stay,
using the stars at night to carry my troubles away,
as i bury all hope, with no way or direction,
and start over brand new, my own resurrection.
