Deformed Beauty

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 21, 2008

Standing tall against the sun
A tree swaying in the breeze
Leaves dancing in the wind
Children frolicking on a warm summer day
This is strength and beauty

As seasons turn
Change is marked with colour
An elegant step towards the end
Branches stretched towards the sky
Leaves, in death, comforting the ground

Winter brings a barren landscape
Snow blanketing life
The tree reaching towards heaven
Silently waiting for spring's return
A mere skeleton of its former glory

Still beauty and strength exist here
I see it
It calls to me
Laying its beauty in my ink
I scrawl its essence upon my page
