The Wolf

by Amygirl   Nov 22, 2008

The wolf howls to the moon
Calling for her heart
Waiting for him
Waiting for it all to start

The wolf stands on the cliff
Looking to the sky
Thinking about her other half
Wondering if he already past her by

She closes her eyes
To the moon, again, she cried
Then she wonders
Wonders if he is already by her side

Was he a baby
Born to soon?
Now and Angel
Standing underneath that moon?

Was he a child
Victim of murder?
Did begging words escapes his lips
In his last and final hour?

Did his car loose control
And wrap around a tree?
A teen hyped up on a Saturday night
In a buzz, too dazed to see?

What happens to the soul mates
Of those who have already past?
Do they walk beside us
So our love will long last?

Do we first unite
Only after death?
Will I somehow know your there?
Or will I only realize after my last and final breath?

Will we only have eternity
Only after I move on?
Will we miss a life together
An opportunity of memories gone?

The wolf stands
Staring at the moon
Wondering, no matter what is true
If she will see her true love soon

She linger there for a moment
Hoping to see a sign
Of when she will see him
Wanting to know the grand design

She Sighs and walks back into the woods
With only and empty heart
But even though she goes unanswered
She still waits for it all to start
