Fate

Fate may have a funny way
To make its message clear
But I just need to know
That it is always near

Many people have wondered
About how it really works
But all they have come up with
Is that fate always lurks

Things always fall in place
No matter how we twist or turn
We may try to outwit it
But we only get what we earn

Is fate a comforting way
To say all will be well?
Or a threat that takes our will
And binds us with its spell?

I don't think we need to fear it
For what do we have to lose?
If fate is merely the outcome
We have our ways to chose

    Stanzas 2 and 4 seem slightly forced to me, i love the third stanza and most of the rhymes are well written in. I liked the structure and the way you have written about something we all know and have probably questioned at one point in our lifes. Very few have managed to pull it off and you have done just fine. Nice read.

    Well done.. great flow.. nearly flawless really. The ending was perfect.. and I loved how you kind of stated your opinion in this poem in the end as well.. that was a nice twist.. its always good to hear the thoughts of the writer... 5/5.. I saw this as a great piece, a successful write.
