The Last Prayer

by Ramblings of an ageing Kid   Nov 23, 2008

Out of Bliss I draw
Picture dreams from the past
I think in despair
Why did it all just pass?
Like wind when leaves fall
Suicidal as I crawl
As the sorrow within
Grows bigger to shatter my heart
As I walk to remember
I recall the tears of my dearest ones
Forever lost within their coffins of earth
One day I see them screaming
Another day embraced by its warmth
My mind starts to wonder, in vain
My heart starts to pound, in pain
Words I screech can only be heard by me
Many tried to break into me
Feel the pain, scream in vain with me
10,000 miles away they stand
1 foot away rests my cradle
Oh! Lord, My salvation lies in thy hands
Yet, it is all for me to choose
I chose to suffer under thy mercy

Beautiful free verse. I loved the wording and the feeling of resignation in it.
    You did a great job:)

    Take care,

    5/5 Ingrid
