Still dancing

Never together,
safe for weeks end.
Wandering couples,
'Round every bend.

Amongst them we venture,
So proudly we stride.
We're dancing in circles,
Walking side by side.

It's so long ago now,
Mere seconds away.

I begged you to stay.
