Cotton Candy

by Sylvia   Nov 24, 2008

Crystals ever so fine, spun sugar, cotton candy.
Color added to make it divine, pleasing to the eye.

Tinted with shades of the rainbow.
Pale pink, visions of sugar plums and magical fairies.
Lemon yellow, daffodils blooming in the spring.
Refreshing green, cool mint in a glass of iced tea.
Lavender, royal, regal in all its splendor.

Pull a strand, touch it to your tongue,
exquisite taste and sensation like no other.
Tingling, tickling, it dissolves oh so fast,
imagine eating a soft, fluffy cloud.

The delight of cotton candy,
childhood relived.
