Hard Times, Soft Touch

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Nov 25, 2008

I gave you the smallest kiss
Your hand hid a smaller blush
My love, I know it hurts
Hard times call for a soft touch

Simplicity at it finest point
Is it really simple at all?
One strong push can make you slip
But the softest makes you fall

Wet grass underneath our backs
Watching starts flicker on and off
We can speak a thousand words
And not once have to talk

I miss you more than fish miss air
I don't know id that means too much
But all I know is that this hurts enough
Hard times make me miss your touch

"And these nights I get high just from breathing.
When I lie here with you I'm sure that I'm real,
like that firework over the freeway.
I could stay here all day but that's not how you feel."

it makes me want to fall asleep in your arms while you draw circles softly on my arm like you used to

This one just...this one has a lot of things layered in. Sadness, remembering, good memories...I don't know. It made me feel quiet.
