It was short, a little sad and to the point. The wording was great. I gave this poem a 5/5.

Ingrid,

a sad truth, aptly expressed. I imagine with this a ex-war veteran, no longer respected, his peers no longer alive, so alone he lives with his memories, his nightmares, all alone waiting only for death, a death to take him to all the death that he has witnessed in his long life.

I may have grasped at this all wrong, but this is what it gave me.

Well I had to read this poem as it's my name on here, its very good its so short yet to the point. Its a sad read but although you may not realize it you are somebodys hero just for bein there =]
