Always your little angel

Her eyes watery and dark,
Tears cascading down her cheeks,
Her mouth opens slightly,
But she doesn't speak,

Hands clench into fists,
As another tear drops,
Her heart beats fast,
But misses a beat and stops,

Without your love,
She said she'd die,
And now that you're gone,
She can't help but cry,

As another day passes,
She still is without you;
She can't take it anymore,
She's finally through.

Missing your love,
Each and every day;
There was no stopping it,
It was going to be this way.

As she finally finds her words,
Her hands shaking, eyes full of tears;
She whispers something so deep,
And powerful even through her fears.

"I love the way you talked to me,
So protective of your little girl;
The way you wanted to give me everything,
Even the whole entire world!

The way you'd hug me close,
To your beating heart;
How you were always there,
From the very start.

Your hand in mine,
As we would walk;
How I felt so comfortable,
Every time we talked.

And daddy I cannot help,
But miss you more each day;
I can't help the tears falling,
I just wish you would have stayed."

Wiping the tears from her eyes,
She stands up and acts like nothing's wrong,
Because she remembered something he said,
"Don't worry my angel; I'm here, be strong."

And even though he isn't here to watch her,
She will try her best not to fall apart,
Because her daddy is always with her,
He is just right there; deep in her beating heart.
