The Mask

by .+*Jess*+.   Nov 27, 2008

Everyday, she wakes up and prepares her mask
So full of life no one would ever ask
A mask to hide all the pain and fears
A mask to hide all the worries and tears

She starts with the bright brown eyes
So big and innocent, they could never let out cries
Highlighted in powders of purple or green
Sparkling, glittering like the diamonds of a queen

And then a smile so sincere
Going from ear to ear
With teeth so white
Making the mask so bright

All this pain she cannot bear
Yet she wants no one to hear
She has to do one thing right
This time she will hold on tight

To the mask
