Rage

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 29, 2008

Time, like sand, just blows away
Don't waste it looking back
The landscape's ever changing child
Follow a new track

Sunny skies lay in the west
A cloud line to the east
Mind is screaming "Take a chance"
This fear must be released

Stride into the darkened sky
Face what waits you there
You've walked into the sun before
And suckled its despair

If still you live to tell that tale
Then surely you must be
Strong enough to face the thing
You fear but cannot see

The future is a peaceful time
Until we all arrive
Destructive paths we walk upon
Ensure we won't survive

Blaze a trail into the dark
And set your faith aflame
Nothing comes from nothing child
Your choices are to blame

A well written piece, strong, confronting, thought provoking and a topic I can relate to , for me you achieved your goal , I thought you conveyed your feelings on this topic succinctly..

"You've walked into the sun before And suckled its despair" I loved this, what great imagery.

A couple of the stanza's didn't flow as well as they might. Still the best poem I've read in some time.
