Fading back into the crowd
As you put the mask back on
Hiding the real person you are
Pushing it away until it's gone

Numbness is felt all over
From the head to the toe
They say they understand
But they'll never really know

You walk around constantly in a war
Fighting with your mind to stay awake
Hopelessness creeps up from behind
Crumbling your world with one shake

I see your eyes as they plead for help
You speak but it`s too quiet to be heard
I struggle to listen to your thoughts
But all I hear is pain in every word
