Love is Lost

by ShyandHurt   Nov 30, 2008

Turned heads, downcast eyes,
Black clothes, sunglasses on a cloudy day,
Sniffles, tissues brought out,
Hands on seemingly breaking hearts, arms linked to support each other,
This all seems tragic to your untrained eyes, -these- people are grieving,
But you are wrong.

Blank stare, straight ahead eyes,
Black dress, sunglasses to hide her eyes,
No sniffles, a sngle tissue to wring in her hands,
Hands idly in her lap, shaking just a bit as she stands alone in the back.
She seems just the same, but look closer,
Her blue eyes have no spark, have no life,
Her love has died along with loved one,
She has died.

This is grieving, never getting over a loss,
Unlike the others,
Her blue eyes will never change color now,
Her hands will constantly shake at his mention,
Though she may wear color, she can only think of that black day,
The day her love died,
Life and love was sucked out of her.

Watch as she gazes at it all from the back,
It appears she is watching everyone,
Look closer, follow her eyes,
They look at one single thing.

They look at him, the pull painfully over his white, cold skin,
Memorizing his features one last time before they are gone forever,
Erased from the world,
Just observe her as his casket and is buried and no longer visible,
A single tear will fall from her face, her stoned face,
Watch the rest of her die as each pile of dirt covers him up again,
Look at her feet as they tense, you can tell she is wanting to jump in with him,
Closely watch the rest of her body collapse after that first tear,
Screams will enter everyone's hearing, horror their eyes,
She will crumple to the ground, all is lost.

All is lost because love is lost.
