I didn't let it show
hoping no one would know
i had to know what happened to me
but i couldn't let anyone else see

why was i feeling this pain
why did you keep doing it again
why did you start hitting me
only in places people could see

well now the bruises have went away
but i carry the scars with me everyday
cos the scars inside haven't faded
not since the day my life was invaded
